Um Filósofo na Arena (2019)

Para o povo mexicano de San Jerónimo el Alto vem o Padre Sebastián, enviado para ajudar o idoso Padre Damián nas suas funções sacerdotais. O padre 'Sebas' colide com a oligarquia da cidade abrindo uma escola onde ele explica as encíclicas dos trabalhadores e também os ideais do trabalhador, e com a irmã do padre Damián, convencida de que só vem para ficar com o trabalho do seu irmão. A cidade começa a gostar do novo padre, criando muitas situações jocosas.

Um grupo de crianças bagunceiras é encaminhado a uma visita guiada ao museu como “punição” pelo mau comportamento. Lá, uma guia diferente resolve percorrer um caminho alternativo e os apresenta ao "Livro da Vida", que contém todas as histórias. A mais simbólica delas, baseada nas tradições mexicanas, envolve três mundos. Catrina/La Muerte é uma adorada deusa ancestral, que governa a Terra dos Lembrados. Ela é ex-mulher de Xibalba, o governante trapaceiro da Terra dos Esquecidos. Em uma visita à Terra dos Vivos, eles fazem uma aposta. Se a jovem e bela Maria, filha da maior autoridade da cidade de San Angel, escolher se casar com o emotivo violinista Manolo, Catrina ganha e Xibalba não poderá mais interferir no Mundo dos Vivos, como gosta de fazer. Se o preferido for o valente Joaquim, Xibalba passa a governar também o Mundo dos Lembrados.

Bugs Bunny once again making that "wrong turn at Albuquerque" burrows into a bullring, where a magnificent bull is making short work of a toreador. The bull bucks Bugs out of the arena, prompting the bunny to declare "Of course you realize, this means war!" The deft Bugs' arsenal comes plenty packed, as he uses anvils, well-placed face slaps and the bull's horns as a slingshot. The bull fights back, using his horns as a shotgun barrel. The bull's comeback is short-lived; just after Bugs makes out his will, he lures the bull out of the arena, just in time to set up a rube-like device that leads to the bull's defeat.

During the Spanish Civil War a platoon of mismatched Republican soldiers cross the front-line to steal the bull that the enemy is going to fight on the local holiday of the nearby village. In addition to ruining the Nationalist faction's celebration they want the animal in order to butcher it and feed their famished troops. They get caught in the process and have to go through a series of funny and pathetic incidents before they can get back to their side.

Bumbling detective Stan Laurel disguises himself as a famous matador in order to hide from the vengeful Richard K. Muldoon, who spent time in prison on Stan's bogus testimony.

The wolf, the champion toreador, and Droopy, the challenger, are competing to see who is best in the bullring in the hopes of winning the hand of actress Lina Romay (who appears in a live action shot).

Cantinflas enjoys the bullfight show, and wants to crash in every of these spectacles. Also, there's a professional bullfighter, Manolete, who is identical to Cantinflas. Manolete has to give a bullfight show in a village, but Cantinflas arrives first as a stowaway in a train, and he'll be mistake by the real bullfighter. Cantinflas will give us a demonstration of courage.

Uuno Turhapuro is searching for a job and takes a correspondence course in tour guiding. Eventually he gets a job in a small travel agency and takes a group of Finnish tourists to Marbella, Spain. Unfortunately Uuno's father-in-law Tuura is in the group, too, with his wife and daughter, Uuno's wife Elisabet. Tuura tries to get a signature to an important paper from a minister who's having a holiday in the area. Meanwhile, Uuno just relaxes and enjoys the sun.

American Neil Bowman is traveling through France when he meets British photographer Lila. They are hired by French land owner Duc de Croyter to escort a Hungarian scientist to New York. But they soon realize that the job is not a cushy number, and have to deal with a gang of kidnappers who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the scientist

Little Pancho Vanilla dreams of becoming a bullfighter, but his mother tells him that's impossible. The greatest bullfighter in Mexico, Don Jose, is coming to town; Pancho tells the local women he's better, so he goes to the amateur tryout, but he gets thrown out because he's so small. The bull quickly disposes of the other amateurs, sending one over the fence, where he catapults Pancho into the ring right on top of the bull, knocking out the bull to great acclaim from the crowd.
