Nesse filme de natal, os Muppets recontam a clássica história "A Christmas Carol". O protagonista do filme, Ebenezer Scrooge, não é interpretado por um muppet, mas sim por um ator de carne e osso: Michael Caine, mas os Muppets estão muito presentes na história. Caco, o Sapo, faz o papel de Bob Cratchit, o Urso Fozzie faz Fozziwig (que na história original é chamado de Fezziwig), Robin faz o Pequeno Tim e Gonzo faz o próprio Charles Dickens, que aparece como narrador da história.
