Sinopse
Juliet Ashton é uma jovem escritora, com falta de inspiração, que logo após a Segunda Guerra Mundial recebe uma carta de um membro da misteriosa Sociedade Literária de Guernsey, uma organização formada durante o período de ocupação nazi. Curiosa, Juliet decide ir até às ilhas de Guernsey e encontra-se com os excêntricos membros da Sociedade Literária da Tarte de Casca de Batata, entre os quais se encontra Dawsey, o charmoso e intrigante agricultor que esteve na origem da carta. As suas confidências, a sua ligação à ilha e aos seus habitantes e a crescente afeição que nutre por Dawsey irão para sempre mudar o curso da vida de Juliet.
O livro "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" ("Comporte-se como uma dama, pense como um homem") transforma a vida de um grupo de amigos quando suas namoradas decidem usar as dicas do autor Steve Harvey contra eles. Agora é a vez dos rapazes lerem o livro e verem como podem dar uma lição nas mulheres.

Vasoula is a poor girl who works as a secretary for a cranky older lady, Ms Kleio who loves novels with knights and lives secluded in her mansion with her butler Aristeidis. One day, in the absence of Ms Kleio, Vasoula is visited by a couple, Popi and Mitsos Bezestainis who ask if they can stay. The sudden return of Ms Kleio causes great upheaval kai Vasoula is forced to introduce Mitsos as her husband, who is a sailor and often away. When Ms Kleio dies, she leaves her entire estate to Vasoula whom she mentions in her will as "wife of Dimitrios Bezestainis". Now, the problems begin, and they can only be solved when Vasoula marries Mitsos.
The film revolves around Alexander Varma, who survives with his IQ, but fate has something else stored for him.
