Deus perdeu a fé na humanidade e enviou o Arcanjo Miguel (Paul Bettany), juntamente com uma legião de anjos, para dar início ao apocalipse. Two pairs of Mormon missionaries from America live in a beaten-up apartment in the Dutch city of Haarlem. Their personalities are distinctly different.
