Cosnick relata para Vale que, como o Zodíaco, tinha um distúrbio de personalidade, mas agora estava curado. Vale se corresponde com Cosnick e lhe manda material que não foi publicado. No entanto o interesse de Cosnick se transforma em loucura ao começar a matar como o Zodíaco, deixando uma carta na cena de um crime em que diz ser o famoso serial killer que, após 30 anos, voltou para ficar.
