Há 14 anos, o cineasta Mateo Blanco (Lluís Homar) sofreu um trágico acidente de carro, no qual perdeu a visão. Neste mesmo acidente, a pessoa que o acompanhava morreu. A partir de então ele abandona sua posição de cineasta e preserva apenas o lado de escritor, assumindo o pseudônimo de Harry Caine. Um dia Diego (Tamar Novas), filho de sua antiga e fiel diretora de produção Judit Garcia (Blanca Portillo), é enviado ao hospital por ter ingerido drogas acidentalmente. Assim que sabe do ocorrido, Harry vai em seu socorro. Quando o jovem o indaga sobre seus dias de cineasta, o amargurado homem revela se lembrar de detalhes marcantes de sua vida e do acidente.
