Lalitha (1930 – 1982) was a South Indian actress and danseuse. She was the eldest of the "Travancore Sisters" – Lalitha, Padmini, and Ragini. She started her acting career in the 1938 Tamil film Adithan Kanavu and has acted in movies of different Indian languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. She entered films before her sisters, concentrating more on Malayalam films, and was good in Vampish roles.
She was born to Gopala Pilla and Saraswathiyamma on 16 December 1930 at Thiruvananthapuram. She is the aunt of actress Shobana Chandrakumar. Malayalam actress Ambika Sukumaran is her relative. Actress Sukumari was the trio's maternal first cousin. Malayalam actor Krishna is her grand son.
Pusa Natchathiram
Vetri Vinayagar is 1996 Tamil Hindu devotional film directed by K. Shankar[1][2] and produced by M. Sarojini Devi. The film script was written by K. P. Arivanantham. Its music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. The film stars K. R. Vijaya, Radha Ravi, Urvasi, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Delhi Ganesh.[3] The film was dubbed in Hindi as Jai Ganesh Deva and Telugu as Om Ganapathi.
Anamika, a post-graduate student, along with her friends visit the Javadi Hills to make a study on the tribals who live there. During her stay, she befriends a tribal girl named Gangamma. Upon returning home, she wishes to do something for uplifting the lives of the people. She is encouraged in this regard by her father, and Agni, a journalist. After a while, Anamika goes to Javadi Hills and gets to know that Gangamma is dead.
Vaikuntam is a lad who lives in a village. He is a good singer and in love with a lass Nagammal. But Nagammal's brother is against their love. One day he ties Vaikundam to a tree. Vaikundam was rescued by a rich woman who was passing that way. She takes Vaikundam to her city. When she came to know that Vaikundam is talented in singing, she promotes him as a singer. She renames him as Geethamani. He becomes famous and also rich. He neglects his parents and ill treats them. His lover Nagammal tries to commit suicide because of his behaviour. How Geethamani realises his delusion and reconciles with his parents and Nagammal forms the rest of the story.
Bommi, a princess, falls in love with Veeran, the adopted son of a cobbler, who reciprocates her feelings. However, when her uncle persuades the king to get Bommi married to him, Veeran abducts her.
Radha
A rich industrialist, Prabhu runs a factory along with his son Ravi. However, Vikraman, Prabhu's crooked nephew tries to manipulate Prabhu's wealth and defames his family.
Chandramukhi
Landlord Narayan Rao's son Devdasu and Parvathi, their poor neighbour's daughter, fall in love. But Devadas's family does not approve of the relationship.
