Patagonia, Argentina, 1880s. During the Conquest of the Desert, Marguerite, the French wife of Colonel Garay, in charge of protecting a new railway, discovers that a French woman is being held captive by the local natives.
Fernanda, a radio DJ, has a show in which she tells gruesome and gory horror stories about satanic rituals and sex murders. However, when bodies start turning up around town killed in exactly the way Fernanda describes on her show, it looks like someone or some group is using her show to get ideas.
After the end of the military dictatorship in Argentina in 1983, Floreal is released from prison. Instead of returning to his wife, he wanders through the night of Buenos Aires. He meets some people from his past–most of which are only imaginary–and remembers the events of his imprisonment.

Lá eles enfrentam todas as dificuldades típicas que assolam os latino-americanos para se estabelecerem nos chamados países do primeiro mundo. Na solidão do exílio, buscam conexão com sua identidade e cultura através de apresentações de tango e se empenham na montagem do espetáculo Tanguedia (tango + tragédia + comedia): “O Exílio de Gardel”.
