Outro filme que pertence a série Mestres do Terror e trás Stuart Gordon dirigindo o que ele melhor sabe dirigir, uma adaptação de um conto do escritor de terror H.P. Lovecraft, o mesmo de Re-animator, que tem a direção de Stuart. Aqui é contada a história de um universitário que estuda uma teoria misteriosa e secreta. Ele passa a ser perseguido por causa disso por pesadelos que envolvem coisas estranhas como uma bruxa, uma entidade sobrenatural e até mesmo o próprio diabo. Assim, ele começa a desconfiar da sanidade e passa a acreditar que a teoria que estuda, acidentalmente, abriu um portal para alguma dimensão diabólica que vai culminar no sacrifício do bebê de sua vizinha. Ele luta com toda as suas forças para tentar salvar a criança, mas percebe que está cada vez mais difícil e chega mesmo a desejar o suicídio. Dessa forma, o filme reúne os sustos característicos que marcam a obra do diretor com uma boa dose de humor absurdo. É diversão garantida.

In The Burial Society, Sheldon Kasner, an unlikely criminal who works as a bank loan manager, infiltrates the mysterious world of the Chevrah Kadisha (the Jewish society that prepares bodies for burial according to ancient ritual) in order to steal a body and fake his own death after mobsters come after him looking for two million dollars that he is accused of having stolen. Having sought and found refuge within this ancient religious society, Sheldon finds himself captivated by this unusual and powerful world and the three old men who run it.

The year is 2062. The Earth is no longer inhabitable and has been left in ruins. On-board the space station USS Legacy in orbit around Earth, the Earth's population are in suspended animation whilst the space station is under military control and scientists are working on a project to make Earth inhabitable again. After disobeying orders, trying to apprehend a out-of-control soldier on a rampage, tough soldier Captain Cal Brody is sentenced by his commanding officer, Colonel Alexa Stant, to guard the stasis chamber where the Earth's population is in suspended animation for 3 months. But the USS Legacy is taken over by criminal Max Durbin and a group of escaped convicts, who have been freed by Alexa from the prison colony on Earth and Alexa decides to help them. Cal sets out to stop Max and Alexa's scheme and believes he is the only man who can stop Max, who plans to use Cal's scientist girlfriend Kendall Foster experiment to make the Earth inhabitable again...
