Kiyoko Tange (丹下キヨ子) was born on January 2, 1920 in Tokyo, Japan as Kiyoko Koyama. She was an actress, known for Shiosai (1975), Musume jûroku jazz matsuri (1954) and Gyûnyû ya Furankî (1956). She died on May 7, 1998.

Kawai Midori's father left the family a long time ago and since her mother passed away, she has taken care of her younger siblings by herself by working with a group of itinerant camellia oil peddlers.
