Amanda Shelton (Sarah Michelle Gellar) herdou o Southern Cross, um restaurante, de sua lendária mãe, mas não herdou dela o talento culinário. Com isso, o Southern Cross corre o risco de falir, mas repentinamente um anjo da guarda lhe dá um caranguejo mágico e faz com que ela conheça Tom Bartlett (Sean Patrick Flanery), que está inaugurando um restaurante classe A para Jonathan Bendel (Dylan Baker). Bendel quer assegurar que tenha pelo menos uma cotação de quatro estrelas para seu novo restaurante e para isto contratou um famoso chef francês, que é extremamente temperamental, fazendo Tom e Lois McNally (Patricia Clarkson), sua secretária, passarem maus bocados. Paralelamente, Amanda começa a fazer pratos cada vez mais fantásticos e ela não tem a menor idéia do que está acontecendo, mas seu restaurante começa a ganhar fama e ela começa a se envolver com Tom, que teme que esteja se apaixonando por uma bruxa.

Following the lives of three college rugby players drafted to serve in the military during WWII. Though they believe their service will help to benefit their loved ones back home, they are unprepared for the hardships of war. Through their shared trials and sacrifices, they grow closer as friends, and hope to return together to better days. This movie was released in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII.
