Uma popular deputada europeia, Giannina Ricci (Yvonne Sciò), chega para visitar a Espanha. Seu objetivo, através de um relatório detalhado que revela as ilegalidades e irregularidades da multinacional Petronas, é o encerramento das fábricas da empresa, que colocam em perigo o meio ambiente. O mais alto funcionário da empresa decide subornar os comandos das forças de segurança responsáveis pela proteção da deputada Ricci, facilitando um atentado contra ela. Sendo assim, eles não pensam em algo melhor para confiar a proteção da deputada do que José Luis Torrente (Santiago Segura). Além disso, permite-lhe selecionar e treinar, aqueles que formam a elite de segurança para ajudar na proteção.
