Li Yang was born in Nan'an, Fujian Province. After graduating from Beijing Broadcasting Institute in 1982, he worked at CCTV. He successively hosted the famous hit programs of CCTV, "Culture Life", "Everywhere in the Motherland", "Kyushu Fangyuan", "Coastal Pearl" and other programs. Its relaxed and slightly witty style is loved by the audience. He has participated in the production of nearly a 100 films, including "Coastal Pearl", "National Day Fun", "Prime Minister and Party's Literary and Artistic Career", "Hong Kong's Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" and others.
