A small family occupies their new home on the cool edge of the city. They felt very calm until one when the mother was shocked by the figure of the madman who followed him to his office and shouted telling his family to leave the house. A small family consisting of a father, Adrian (Afdhal Yusman) mother, Novia (Isti Ayu Pratiwi), and their only child puppet Dafa (Alejandro) were quite disturbed by the incident.
Ratih
Rahmat, high school graduates but he unable to continue his studies at college because he has no money. Since the age of seven she orphaned and raised by the Mba Bunga aka Mas Bambang Mawar salon owner. Although living with a sissy but Rahmat grow into a real man, smart, pious and dutiful. Mawar saloon is infront of Ratih house, a young widow who is two years left by her husband death. Rahmat Secretly fall in love with Ratih. Yet another widow who lived in the area, Mpok Sari, has crush with Rahmat. She even always sent food to the Mawar salon and tells to every body that she is Rahmat’s wife, but Rahmat always politely declined her. So much jealous, mpok Sari says bad things about Ratih so people will hate her. Ratih tried to deny any bad news about her yet she has no the strength to defend herself.
Like other Muslims, Emak, -a kind old lady, is eager to perform the pilgrimage (Haj). Unfortunately, she does not have the money to fulfill her wish. Her daily cake sales are not enough, and her widower son Zein, merely hawks his paintings around the neighborhood. Zein sees her persistence, and wants desperately to realize Emak’s wish. But the unfinished problems of his failed marriage, makes him feel helpless. Meanwhile, Emak’s wealthy neighbor has gone for the Haj (the major Mecca pilgrimage) many times, as well as the Umrah (or the minor Mecca pilgrimage).
