Matthieu Tota, is the son of professional footballer André Tota and his mother is Brigitte Tota. His parents divorced in 1998 when he was just 13. As a child, he studied at an elementary school in Hohberg, and later at Collège Paul-Émile Victor in Mundolsheim, and Lycée Aristide Briand inSchiltigheim near Strasbourg. As a young man, football (soccer) became his first ambition and he wanted to be a professional player. But he opted for music. Matthieu Tota explained about the origin of his name Pokora in an interview during the documentary Mis à jour broadcast on 26 August 2010 about him on NRJ 12 television station. He said he was searching for an artistic name and happened to be talking to his grand mother of Polish origin and the importance of humility came up. So he asked her how do we say humility in Polish language and she said "pokora". So Matthieu immediately decided to call himself Pokora. Matt came from his name Matthieu. So he became to be known by his stage name Matt Pokora. He earned some public attention as a member of French R&B group Mic Unity.
For this new year, Pierre, the director of the Grand Restaurant is thinking big to try to get the famous star from the famous Michalon guide! And for that, he settles at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Pierre faces an unscrupulous culinary critic, who will offer him a dubious deal: to dismiss his historic chef in exchange for this famous star. Will the manager of the Grand Restaurant accept?

Robin des Bois: Ne renoncez jamais, é um espetáculo musical que estreou em 26 de Setembro 2013 no Palais des Congrès de Paris e fez uma turnê pela França. O grande destaque fica para M. Pokora protagonizando no papel de Robin des bois (Robin Hood). Nesta versão, Adrien (Sacha Tran), filho de Robin (M. Pokora) e Marianne (Maid Marian por Stéphanie Bédard), fruto de uma noite entre os dois há 16 anos atrás, se apaixona pela filha de Veisey, Bédélia (Caroline Costa), ao ganhar um torneio proposto pelo próprio xerife. Inimigo declarado de Robin, o xerife de Nottingham, Veisey (Dumè), ao tomar conhecimento do ocorrido, decide se vingar do "príncipe dos ladrões", por ter perdido Marianne para ele anos atrás, aprisionando seu filho após uma guerra nos campos de batalha. Logo, uma operação de resgate é feita na floresta de Sherwood, conduzida por Robin e seus fiéis escudeiros João Pequeno (Petit Jean por Marc Antoine), e Frei Tuck (Nyco Lilliu), para resgatar Adrien derrotar o tirano.
