Maekawa Shugo
Higashigaoka Junior High School is in turmoil as one of the pupils, Noguchi, who had been bullied, attempted suicide last term. On the first day of the new term, a substitute teacher arrives to take the second year class. When the teacher, Murauchi (Hiroshi Abe), introduces himself, the pupils are surprised by his stutter. He has a speech impediment. Unable to speak eloquently, Murauchi faces his pupils with ‘words of truth’. His first instruction to the pupils is to return Noguchi’s desk and chair to the original place in the classroom. Every morning Murauchi greets the empty desk, “Good morning, Noguchi.” This causes a ripple beyond the classroom and among other teachers and parents, but Murauchi will not stop doing it. Eventually the day comes when Murauchi must leave.
Young Noboru
Legend holds that 30 years ago, a suburban town was terrorized by the spirit of a woman whose horrid face had been grotesquely disfigured. Roaming the streets wearing a long coat and carrying large scissors, the spirit would approach her young victims and, while removing the mask, ask if she was pretty. The victim’s response would almost always lead to their violent death.

Um professor universitário, possuído pela loucura, inicia uma massacre em um hotel turístico, matando 11 pessoas. Ao mesmo tempo em que filma seus atos com um câmera 8mm ele esfaqueia suas vítimas uma a uma, enquanto elas tentam fugir. 35 anos depois, Matsumura (Kippei Shiina) deseja transformar este acontecimento em um filme. Intitulado "Memory", ele convida a atriz Nagisa Sugiura (Yûka) para protagonizá-lo. Mas quando o início das filmagens se aproxima Nagisa começa a ter visões e sonhos assustadores, com o mesmo ocorrendo a outras pessoas.
