O mundo da genial programadora Gundega desaba diante de seus olhos: ela perde um ente querido, o chefe a ameaça de demissão, seus parentes a consideram louca. Em desespero, ela realiza o impossível: cria uma inteligência artificial com uma consciência que assume a personalidade de seu falecido namorado e continua seu relacionamento com ele. Com o passar dos dias, Gundega tem que escolher entre mergulhar na realidade virtual e viver sua paixão por um programa de computador ou ignorar seus sentimentos e revelar uma maravilha tecnológica para o mundo.

A young man lives a lonely existence together with a mother whose only interest is watching programmes about animals. He finds the surrounding emptiness so traumatising that he decides to change his life.

The film dramatizes November 11, 1919- a crucial date in the battle for Latvian independence. A year after the end of the official hostilities of WWI, a renegade German general and troops remain outside the Latvian capital. Latvian riflemen, most of them inexperienced volunteers, somehow managed to defeat a larger, better-armed force of German and Russian mercenaries.
