Bud Fowler and the Page Fence Giants
Bud Fowler was a flourishing baseball player and manager before and after baseball's color line was drawn at the end of the nineteenth century. He organized what would become the Page Fence Giants based in Adrian, Michigan in 1894. Named after the Page Woven Wire Fence Company, they would perform as one of the nation's top teams in the Negro leagues through 1898, including an 82-game winning streak in 1897 and a showdown as Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds.

Here Now
Himself
Everyday Pete Rose wakes up, and goes to work. He's surrounded by bats, balls, gloves and fans, and approaches each day with the same gusto which defined him on the field. But instead of a dugout, he's seated in a folding chair in a memorabilia store in Las Vegas. Nicknamed "Charlie Hustle," for his efforts on the field, Rose, now 71, agreed to a lifetime ban from baseball in 1989 after an investigation concluded he bet on games when he was the manager for the Cincinnati Reds. The ban has left him ineligible for induction into the Hall of Fame. He leads baseball with 4,256 career hits. - Written by ESPN Films
MLB Vintage World Series Films - Cincinnati Reds (1975, 1976, 1990)
The 1975 Fall Classic matched the Reds against the Boston Red Sox in a seven-act performance that enthralled the nation. After an extra-innings defeat in Game 6 the night before, the Reds trailed 3-0 in Game 7, but like true champions, they battled back to win the game and take home the series. The taut drama of the previous season's finale was replaced by an awesome display of professionalism and dominance in the 1976 World Series as the Reds swept the star-struck New York Yankees. Fourteen years later, the Reds again swept their opponent, but this time it was a significant upset. The defending champion Oakland Athletics were out-pitched and out-played over four games as the Red Legs completed their wire-to-wire season with their fifth championship in franchise history.

Slaughter, Tito Santana, Harley Race, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Pete Rose, into its hallowed Hall of Fame. These are highlights of that ceremony.
Viva Cepeda!
A biography of Puerto Rican baseball star Orlando Cepeda, who started his career in the 60's and had to contend with racism inside and outside the ballpark. In San Francisco, he quickly became a fan favorite, which led to animosity with legend and fellow team member Willie Mays. He garnered many awards including Rookie of the Year, MVP, and won the World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals. After his retirement, he was arrested for drug smuggling and sentenced to a year in jail. He then turned his life around and became a Buddhist. In 1999, he was bestowed the greatest achievement any baseball player can receive -- induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
