One of the traditions peculiar to Europe is the annual Eurovision Song Contest, in which hopeful singers from across the continent - from Slovenia to Sweden and Cyprus to Croatia - attempt to prove their nation's dominance in the field of pop music. Filmmaker Marina Zenovich took her cameras to host country Estonia - the winner in 2001 - to document preparations for the 2002 contest, and found a hotbed of jealous rivalries, national outrage and soap-opera-style scandals. Why did winning duo Tanel and Dave break up just weeks after their win? Why is handsome actor Mart Sander passed over for the presenter job? How does Tanel's sister react when she fails to make the cut for the 2002 contest? Through interviews and observation, Zenovich creates what the London Guardian described as "A Star is Born with extra snow."

In November 1978, ABBA travelled to Japan for a 10-day promotional trip, the purpose of which was to "break" the group in a country which had so far resisted ABBA's charms, with the exception of the occasional medium-charting hit. In addition to gazillions of press and radio interviews, and television appearances, the main event of the visit was the taping of a television special devoted entirely to ABBA. The special featured ABBA performing no less than 14 songs, three of which were performed live with a full orchestra backing, resulting in unique arrangements never used before or since. The television special, simply entitled ABBA Special, was subsequently released on VHS and laser-disc.

Com Benny e Frida seguindo caminhos distintos, a dor da separação foi explorada, outra vez, em "When All Is Said And Done". O maior sucesso do álbum, "One Of Us", foi a segunda música que retratou a separação de Agnetha e Björn, sendo a primeira "The Winner Takes It All" do álbum Super Trouper . Em outra parte havia temas frios, tratando sobre o contexto histórico da época - Guerra Fria - e mais canções de isolamento e pesar.
