Cinderella
The Grimm brothers Wilhelm and Jacob, known for their literary works in the nineteenth century, have their lives dramatized. Wilhelm fights to write something entertaining amongst the sea of dry, non-fiction books they write and he sets about collecting oral-tradition fairy tales to put into print. Their life story is countered with reenactments of three of their stories including "The Dancing Princess," "The Cobbler and the Elves" and "The Singing Bone."

Rural Minnesota school teacher, Miss Enter (Bette Davis) becomes a courageous survivor during a snow blizzard that leaves her stranded with several students in a 1 room school house 9 miles from the nearest shelter. With a snow plow plodding a course through a snow-packed dirt road that circles the school, at less than 1 mph, Miss Enter cleverly plans an escape route that could lead to their rescue.

Murphy deserta do Exército da União para avisar os vizinhos do Texas de iminentes ataques indígenas desencadeados por um massacre cometido pelo Exército. Ele supera a desconfiança inicial e convence os colonos (todas as mulheres cujos homens estão fora de combate no Exército Confederado) para se refugiar em uma missão abandonada. Ele as treina para lutar e atirar em antecipação ao ataque. O único outro homem na missão foge para se salvar e acaba levando os índios de volta para a missão.
