Diz a lenda que depois que as pessoas cometem suicídio por enforcamento, uma maldição reside na corda que se torna mais poderosa e sinistra com o tempo. Ao longo das áreas costeiras de Taiwan, um ritual deve ser realizado para queimar a corda para suspender a Maldição.
