Screenplay
Mitya Neverovsky is a descendant of the famous Lieutenant General Dmitry Neverovsky. However, for his parents, Mitya is a complete headache. He does not show any interest in studying, does not want to become anyone, and the phrase "it will do!" could easily be his motto. Having made his cherished wish at the magic Tree in the Artek camp, Mitya is transported back to 1812. In the past, he meets his great-grandfather many times, the famous Lieutenant General Dmitry Neverovsky, takes part in the Battle of Borodino and makes friends with the young Sasha Pushkin.

Everyone has their own goal: one dreams of taking the throne and restoring his family to its former glory, the other - to take revenge on the murderer of his father, who serves the usurpers. Young men enter into a large-scale struggle for power and honor, in which those who seemed to be friends can betray, and former enemies can turn into allies. In order to achieve the goal, both the prince and the rebel's son will have to risk the most valuable and make the main choice in their lives — to go the preordained way or to oppose fate itself.

Despite the post-war devastation, already in early 1946, geological exploration parties were organized, the entire territory of the USSR was covered by uranium prospecting works. The hero of the film is a geologist on one of these expeditions. But when his friend dies, his life begins to change.
