Jake Johnson (New Girl) faz o papel de um apostador de segunda categoria, Eddie Garrett, que concorda em cuidar de uma mala para um conhecido que está indo cumprir pena na cadeia. Quando ele descobre que a mala está cheia de dinheiro, não consegue resistir e acaba gastando tudo. A sentença do dono é encurtada e Eddie tem pouquíssimo tempo para conseguir ganhar todo o dinheiro de volta.

Pablo, um adolescente tímido com uma vida estável, encontra por acaso numa praça um jovem rapaz Marco. Na intenção de estreitar a amizade recem-formada, Marco o convida para fazer uma viagem para o deserto atrás de “Peyote”, uma planta alucionegena. Essa viagem vai acabar decidindo os seus destinos e despertando seus sentimentos – até então desconhecidos.
