Hydro-electricity Expert at Seminar
Tongpan is a 1977 Thai 16 mm black-and-white docudrama that re-creates a seminar that took place in Northeast Thailand in 1975 to discuss the proposed Pa-Mong Dam on the Mekong. Interwoven are sequences depicting a poor farmer, Tongpan, who had lost his land to another dam some years before, and his struggles to make ends meet.
Has Anyone Seen Rose?

Rose has run away from an arranged marriage in her home island. Her sister in town, Rebecca, is sheltering her and no-one else knows where she is. Rebecca’s husband John is involved in the election campaign in his area on behalf of their local candidate. But then Rose’s father rings up from the island and asks the chief to find Rose. Suddenly everyone is out looking for her!
