Haji Saaban, the chairman of Melati Holdings, dies suddenly. His son Safuan suspects that the death has something to do with Melati Holding’s. He allows his brother, Saiful to avenge the death of their father. Saiful falls in love with the daughter of one of the board of directors and his desire for vengeance dissipates. Safuan feels that Saiful has betrayed the family and challenges him.

Milah marries Jiman, the eldest son of the richest man in her village after her initial match make to his youngest son, Ehsan, falls through. Heart broken and unable to refuse the marriage due to parental pressure, Milah bids farewell to her sweetheart and makes him promise not to attend the wedding. He breaks his promise and this results in a chain of events leading to Ehsan's death and Jiman's permanent paralysis and insanity.

Fuad Din has been missing for 10 years. One day a telegram arrives stating that he will be returning home soon. His family receive the news with mixed feelings. When he finally returns. Fuad faces every conflict calmly and no one in the family knows that he went abroad to seek medical treatment. Tires of living in pretence, Fuad’s only wish is to be in his beloved country and with his loved ones whom he misses dearly.

This film exposes the weaknesses found in the high-society consisting of the minister, architects and lawyers. Each has different tastes and desires. As an influential person, the minister used his position to compromise the weak girl. The young lawyer was questioning the good name and status after the girl was betrothed with a tarnished. The young architect ignore Malay art elements. The film also presents a question of love in a family.

A young teacher, Azmi is offered teaching post at a girl's school. The reaction from the students is quite hilarious as tis is the first time a male teacher has been posted to the school. Just before reporting for duty, he stumbles upon a baby which has been abandoned at a clinic. He takes the baby with him and the presence of the baby amuses the students and others teachers. However, one teacher, Bedah, dislikes Azmi and tries everything she can to get rid of him. Azmi get the help of another teacher, Sharina and some students to baby-sit. Azmi’s freindship with Sharina is miscountrued and malicious gossips begin to spread that the baby is actually their love child. At the same time, a jilted student tries to commit suicide.

This film is a heavy drama about the downfall of moral values of a family when proper religion teaching is not being instilled in them since they were small. Having a very good career and being respected by others around you wont determine that you will get the same kind of treatment with your own flesh and blood. As a teacher Mr. Talib is the best there could ever be but as to bringing up his own kids he is clearly a failure. Apart from the troubles he has faced at home with his family he is also waiting for death.
