Wee Meng Chee is a Malaysian Chinese hip hop recording artist, composer, filmmaker and actor. He is widely known by his stage name Namewee, a bilingual pun on his first name, which sounds like the Mandarin term for name.

Harris, a poor Bangladeshi worker in Malaysia, simply wants to return to his hometown to marry the love of his life. However, his leave is denied when his ruthless boss decides to confiscate his passport. Enter Hanguoren, a pro-Malaysian activist who preaches to his fellow countrymen to regain their home in its natural state without immigrants. And then there is Rina, the idealistic daughter of the boss who falls for Harris at first sight, as the trio gets embroiled in an energetic comedy of errors.

So as to get his life and the restaurant business back on track, Chef Huang must now seek help from a mysterious hawker stall lady (Adibah Noor), who summons him to embark on the extraordinary journey. He is to meet many ‘local heroes’ who will help him rediscover his roots and the hidden message of ‘Nasi Lemak’.
