"Lunatics" narrates the experiences of different characters who live in the cities of Buenos Aires, Mexico and Montevideo. Their stories intersect. The madness of the globalized world and the local reality, of each one of them, is affected just at the moment in which the North American president begins to send posts on social networks, eliminating all trade with China.

Emilia is a young psychiatrist living in Buenos Aires with her boyfriend. She has a steady life but is not fully satisfied. She receives an invitation to go back to her hometown in Patagonia to spread Andrea's ashes, Emilia's best friend who died five years earlier.

Among these gangs is one led by Señor, an educated man who, with two of his followers, intends to found a peaceful new order. But while his enchanting words and manners seem appealing, his methods reveal an unstoppable thirst for power.
