La piel quemada deals with the problem of internal emigration between regions with different level of development. In a little village in Costa Brava, a mason starts his workday. At the same time, in a village in Andalusia, a woman and her two sons start the voyage to meet him. After some months alone, the man has managed to rent a place to live. A little affaire with a Belgian tourist girl reveals an unsuspected world to him.

A young woman is stabbed in a bar frequented by criminals and her boyfriend is arrested as the main suspect. However, when the girl finally dies, they assign the case to a commissioner, father of the detainee. He will discover that behind the crime is a dark network of blackmail and drugs.

A young factory worker sends out pictures of herself to a beauty contest and hopes to be chosen. In the same place works Fernando, whom the other employees do not like because of his being very arrogant. In revenge, Rosita pretends to love him. Fernando discovers her double game, but also pretends he is not aware.

When a newborn baby is abandoned in a convent Andalusian Mother Superior decides to be the gardener who takes over from him. As the boy grows, manifest a decided vocation for bullfighting and, although his adoptive father did not endorse, struggle to achieve his dream.

Andrew is a dreamer, he is young and ambitious and he works in a bank. He doesn't earn much money so one of his friends, who lives in Venezuela, encourages him to go there and look for oportunities. The only porblem is Carmen, the girl who is in love with, but despite this, his final goal is to go to Venezuela.

"Tomorrow ..." (mañana...) is the easy exit to deceive themselves of those who feel the impotence and the cowardice to confront face to face their circumstances in life.

Paco, a Sevillian living in Paris who works as a music hall singer, receives news of the death of his uncle named him heir to his fortune. The only condition imposed is to pass a test that is to fight in one of the main squares in Spain. If the attempt fails, the estate would pass to her sister full. From here, Paco will have to wake up if he want to show their courage and take part in a bullfight.

Enrique kills a man for stealing him a check he has received due to an accident. However, things get complicated because it had not yet been cashed. This will force him to try to forge the signature and eliminate any suspect, including his girlfriend Clara, who works in a law office and who talked him about the check. Police tracks the case, but by chance Pedrito, the police inspector's son, is also investigating on his own.

Ignacio, a professional footballer, has sentimental and labor problems. At the same time, Ignacio discovers that two of his teammates have been bribed by another team.

The creative and ambitious Carlos, a young Spanish film buff, manages to become a professional camera operator with time and effort, and is also blessed with the love of Anna, which he has longed for; but the outbreak of the Civil War in 1936 changes everything for both of them.

Love is impossible between Manolo, a flamenco singer, and Lola, a flamenco dancer. She leaves for America to forget him and he gives himself to alcohol. Still, the love between them is so strong that it unites them across the ocean.

Documentary by Juan Francisco de Lasa about a pioneer of Spanish cinema. Gelabert attended one of the first sessions of the Lumière's cinématographe in Barcelona. Briefly after, he built a contraption based on this invention. He produced his first picture, "Dorotea", in 1897. His film "Riña en un café" is considered the first Spanish film to feature a plot.
