The film has two story-lines or "realities". The main characters are lovers, Maria and Vasin who discover they have access to an alternate reality wherein missed opportunities have become realities. Vasin also lives a life of regrets, and wishes he was able to pursue his unfulfilled dream of becoming a film director. In the second act, "A Film Director", Maria is transported into a different reality. In this reality, she marries Vasin, and he becomes a film director. The plot questions whether they are truly happy with each other, despite having their wishes granted.

Mitya Klimov is a student of Stroganovka. In his free time, he moonlights as an instant artist (portrait in a minute). He accidentally meets a lovely girl Lena, whose portrait he painted on the street. Their next meeting took place in the gallery of his father, the famous artist Yuri Shamanov, where the birthday of his sister Natalia was celebrated. At the time of the trip, Mitya, entering the utility room, saw the corpse of Jeanne, Natalya’s girlfriend, and then he himself received a blow to the head ...

Kira and her child were abandoned by her husband – a banal story in General, tragic for our heroine in particular. Neste filme de suspense que foge do comum, os problemas parecem perseguir o solitário Ray Perso (interpretado por Norman Reedus). Ou talvez ele mesmo persiga os problemas. Primeiro, ele é preso por invadir o sistema bancário e os caixas eletrônicos de Manhattan e fazê-los distribuir notas de 20 dólares em cada esquina. Depois, ele é tirado da clínica de recuperação onde cumpre pena por um chefe do crime organizado russo chamado Dolphin (interpretado por Slava Schoot), e levado secretamente para Moscou para trabalhar para um “homem de negócios” que está preso. Ray passa por uma terrível prova de batismo no caótico, estranho e completamente perverso submundo de Moscou com seus novos parceiros no crime. Ele é tirado do esconderijo, tentado por uma bela mas complicada mulher chamada Maya (interpretada por Xusha Buravsky) e caçado por um urso que fugiu de um circo. The sea, August, interesting and simple people. They tan, swim, play volleyball, basketball, drink, dance and then find someone to spend the night with. Many grew out of their student phase and can afford a more comfortable holiday but when July comes they grab a tent, jump into their cars and come here. Here, nobody talks about work and the size of your wallet means nothing.

The plot is not developed; in the film we see a man (he) and a woman (she) who, in fact, are neither connected nor familiar with each other; they casually met in hospital. "She" (Viktoria Tolstoganova) does not see that she is in danger in connection with her plan to use a tape with illegally made recordings as compromising evidence in court. "He" (Il'ia Shakunov, an actor of the Petersburg TYuZ) is a gay translator who, after the random meeting with her, is pursued by her image which frequently pops up in front of him. As a consequence, his relationship with a young boy no longer satisfies him. Both he and she lose sight of the meaning of life, because of their own inability to see others and to see love, as perception relies on proximity instead of distance.

The end of the XVIII century. The reign of Catherine II. In the deep Russian provinces, among the vast steppes of the Ural escaped convict Yemelyan Pugachev proclaimed himself Emperor Peter III of Russia. Under the banner of the Pretender embarked detachments of Cossacks, fugitive serfs, and many spirited people. In these troubled times in the God-forsaken Belogorsk young officer Pyotr Grinyov meets his first love - Masha, the daughter of Captain Mironov. Recklessly passionate love with each other did not want to notice the signs of impending trouble. They did not know that soon they will be an ordeal. They could not imagine how bizarre way their fates intertwined with the fate of the self-proclaimed king, and what an incredible effort will be worth it to save their lives and feelings in the bloody chaos of Russian riot.
