Julia, a teenager from Latin America, has lived in the U.S. most of her life. She is popular, a successful Youtuber and wants to become prom queen. Everything changes abruptly when her family has to return to Ecuador. What will she have to face? Getting used to a new culture and a catholic high school will not be easy. The "gringa" becomes the target of "La Reinas", three popular bullies who rule the school. Julia is now a misfit who will have to earn her new friends' affection in order to survive.
It tells the story of Niebla, who died in a shootout with the police and whose ghost comes back to help change Francisco´s fate, a 10 years old boy. Francisco´s father, Basilio, an abusive and violent thief, adored and feared by his son, destroys his mother and brothers, when he takes out his frustrations at home. The ghost protects Francisco from his father´s violence and handholds him threw his first love with Roxana who has her own story of abuse. Feeling protected, Francisco is able to face his oppression.
O presidente dos Estados Unidos, Ashton (William Hurt), participará de uma conferência mundial sobre o combate ao terrorismo em Salamanca, na Espanha. Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) e Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) são os agentes do Serviço Secreto designados para protegê-lo durante o evento. Entretanto logo em sua chegada o presidente é baleado, o que gera um grande tumulto. Na multidão que assiste ao atentado está Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), um turista americano que estava gravando tudo para mostrar aos filhos quando retornasse para casa. A partir da perspectiva de diversos presentes no local antes e depois do atentado é que se pode chegar à verdade sobre o ocorrido.
