Yusuf, 14, and Kenan, 9, are two shepherd brothers. When their father was killed as a result of a blood feud, children flee to Istanbul to find their only relative, uncle Ali. However all efforts to find him fail. They meet a street kid named Bocek (insect) under the brutal conditions of the big city. And Insect introduces them Carpik (crooked), a young man who does illegal activities. Carpik suggests Yusuf to work together. Desperate Yusuf accepts this and starts burglary with him. On the other hand Kenan has a modest personality and resists.

The Poor
The Poor Ones tells the semi-melodramatic story of three poor friends who met in prison where have been sent to on various offenses. These three friends do not want to get out when they are released. What are Abuzer, Haci and Arap going to do when they will be out? They have no one, no jobs... Apart from Haci and Arap, everything will be the same for Abuzer, who doesn't know where to go. He will still be alone, starving on the streets of the big city.

I Lost My Heart to a Turk
I Lost My Heart to a Turk is the story of a German woman Eva Bender, who is deserted by a Turkish worker in Germany five years earlier and left alone with a child Zafer. Eva's father refuses his illegitimate grandson from a Turkish worker. She comes to Kayseri, Turkey with her illegitimate child to seek her lover, Ismail Acar. Ismail is now working at Sümer Cotton Cloth factory as a mechanic and establishing a small private business. Eva finds her ex-lover Ismail who now lives with his wife and children. Humiliated by her ex-lover, the German woman receives assistance by another Turkish worker, Mustafa.
The Street Descends to the Sea
At the heart of the story is a middle-aged man with a wife and family who essentially feels stifled. He is a landowner who has made different attempts to go beyond his provinicial environment and in the end, the call of a more active existence in hopefully greener pastures induces him to abandon both his family and his home.
