Deeya Maskey

An educated young boy from remote Nepal who dreams of becoming a teacher in a government school, the story of his struggle to fulfill his dream amidst economic hardships.

After a few no-gooders from Salley village beat up a boy from a neighbouring village, a long-running feud over a contested forest flares up. With the insurgency at its peak, the rebel commander suggests this dispute be settled through a game of football. In the midst of all this tension a new teacher is appointed to the village school. Will this versatile stranger provide a solution or cause even more trouble?

This film is a sequel to 2013 film Hostel and is based on the hostel life of civil engineering students.

A portrayal of the everyday struggles faced by a newly married couple in a slum in urban Nepal.

In an urban slum in Kathmandu, Krishna (Shushank Mainali) delivers newspapers, and his mother (Aruna Karki) works as a road sweeper. The young man falls in love with Kamala (Deeya Maskey), a domestic worker who is employed by a rich family. At first Kamala is hesitant to get involved with Krishna, but finally the two get married. However, poverty overshadows their lives: making ends meet is not easy and sharing a tiny living space with Krishna's mother only increases the tension between the newly-weds.

Diya, young woman who wishes to become a dancer enters into an arranged marriage. As she spirals closer to her wedding day she realizes that she has no feelings for her betrothed but is in love with her best friend, Kiran. They begin an affair but soon are found out...

Movie starts with opening of a lift and question answers on a road accident. Majority believe it's due to some mismanaged traffic problem but Utsav, a news reporter, is sure that it's due to some unseen power that led to accident. His version couldn't satisfy any of the reporters interviewing him. He is not believed by anyone not even his Boss who makes him prove what he said within 24 hours; so he is on mission to prove his verdict on unseen powers with his team of friends.

"Kagbeni" transplants the famous horror story, "The Monkey's Paw", to the mountains of Nepal. Krishna has returned to his village (Kagbeni) from Malaysia, and is reminiscing with his old friend Ramesh. They come upon an old hermit, who presents them with a cursed monkey's paw that has the power both to grant wishes, and twist their meaning to cause tragedies.
