Um policial em crise matrimonial investiga a morte de um homem que caiu de um edifício com um pedaço de arame enrolado no pescoço. Ao conhecer melhor o local, ele descobre a existência de uma fotógrafa que pode estar envolvida de alguma maneira no crime. A partir daí, ele recebe a função de protegê-la. Mas apaixona-se por ela, o que pode comprometer seu trabalho.
