A meticulous ambulance driver working in poverty-stricken Bucharest, who takes part in an armed robbery together with three men he barely knows. As the robbery ends in disaster, Bogdan starts a thorough, almost compulsive investigation to dig up the true identities of his accomplices, but the more he discovers, the deeper he sinks into a spiral of fear and paranoia.

Marius is a divorced man in his late thirties. His five year-old daughter Sofia lives with her mother, which causes Marius a deep frustration. On the day Marius arrives to take his daughter on their annual holiday, he is told that she is ill but he doesn't believe it and insists to take her with him. The situation soon gets out of control with all the family taking part in a web of humor, violence, childish songs, police interventions and love statements.

Considering that his life is a failure, a man records himself leaving a video-message to his loved ones. After this message, which tackles, in funny and sad ways, a lot of issues, both personal and social, he shoots himself in the head. But he fails. And what follows is the a ridiculous and horrific agony, that probably changes the characters' vision about life... A film done basically in one single shot.

O Sr Lazarescu já se encontra com 63 anos e vive sozinho em um apartamento com seus gatos. Certa manhã levanta se sentindo mal, com dores na cabeça e na barriga, desconfiando que há algum problema com uma cirurgia de úlcera feita há muitos anos atrás. O idoso pede uma ambulância para leva-lo ao hospital mas dois problemas farão com que não seja aceito em nenhum hospital para onde tentam leva-lo: um acidente acontecido na cidade entre um caminhão e um ônibus; e o cheiro de bebida que fará os médicos responsabilizarem o doente por sua condição.
