The story of the film revolves around Intelligence officer Jayamohan (Mohanlal) and his wife Anjali (Amala Paul). However, Anjali is unaware of the fact that he is an anti- terrorist intelligence agent as his job demands secrecy, but soon she will learn the truth behind Jayamohan. Certain turn of events lead Anjali to join the team of secret agents and together they try to solve the plots set up by the terrorist group

Tamizharasu, who aspires to become a police officer, discovers a terrorist's ploy to assassinate the governor. On learning that some policemen are involved, he takes matters into his own hands.

Meera, a blind woman who plays the violin as part of a blind orchestra at a church, is joyous when she gets back her eyesight as a result of an eye transplant. He finally redeems himself by defeating his opponent and at the same time, accepts Janu's love.

Kannan's (Karthik) ambition in life is to take up the construction of the temple left incomplete by his forefathers. Funds are not forthcoming. Goundamani assures him that with his employer's help Kannan's dream could become a reality. But Goundamani is disappointed when his employer, the wealthy landlady's (Manorama) grandson Raghu (Ranjith) turns out to be money minded and heartless. In a fit of anger, Goundamani pushes him into the waters of a river and thinks he has committed a murder. Predictably Kannan is made to enter the scene as an impostor. What follows next forms the crux of the story.

Sirasu falls immediately in love with Indhu, but Ratnam (Kazan Khan) and his father Parameswaran (Vinu Chakravarthy ) proposes to Saratha's husband to marry Ratnam to his daughter. Can Sirasu triumph in his love? will the two feuding family unite?

Veluchami, an orphan, is raised by Periya Ayya along with his own daughter. When Periya decides to give away his daughter to the local temple, Veluchami marries her by force to save her.

Shanmuga Pandian is a kind-hearted person and respected estate owner, he lives with his father Selvanayagam and mother Lakshmi and sister Sumathi. Shanmuga Pandian and Divya fall in love with each other. At Sumathi's wedding, Selvanayagam is falsely arrested for suppliyng weapons to terrorists. The conspiracy against Selvanayagam was in fact planned by the corrupt politician P.K.R and his son Vasu. Later, Divya gets married with Vasu but the sadistic Vasu tortures Divya. The rest of the story is Shanmuga Pandian proves his father's innocence and revenge the villains with the help of Divya and Nandhini.
