William Tannen

Born and raised in New York City, William "Bill" Tannen graduated from Boston University and pursued a career in advertising. He created the famous "Girl Watchers" campaign for Diet Pepsi in 1967, which won four Clio Awards, and then created his own company, Sunday Productions, to produce TV commercials. Tannen moved to Los Angeles in 1972 and continued to direct commercials all over the world, garnering five more Clios in the process. Tannen directed his first feature film, "Flashpoint," in 1984, and went on to direct numerous films, TV series and music videos, the latter including the Commodore's "Night Shift" in 1985, which won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Video. Tannen has also taught director's workshops at the EICAR International Film School in Paris, France.

Ozzie is a young koala living in Australia. He is kidnapped by two goons (Buzz and Tank) who work for Max Happy, president of Happy Toys. Legend says that Ozzie speaks English and Max wants to clone Ozzie into hundreds of koalas and sell them for a fortune as talking pets! Buzz and Tank "lose" Ozzie on the plane-ride home by accident to Justin Morton, an 8 year old who is celebrating his birthday with his mom, Beth with a trip to Austrailia. Ozzie winds up in Justin's backpack. When Max finds out the koala is missing, a screwball comedy chase begins and ends in a surprise that knocks Max off her throne!

Esse filme demorou cerca de 10 anos para ser produzido, já que ele teve diversas modificações no roteiro e também alguns problemas de aceitação em estúdios até que finalmente foi produzido. Também demorou para se escolher um ator para o papel principal. O escolhido acabou sendo Chuck Norris (de Comando Delta) que vive o detetive John Sheperd. Ele se sente culpado e parte para salvar um lapidador de diamante, que foi prisioneiro no campo de concentração de Auschwitz durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, das mãos de um ladrão assassino. Ele precisa não só salvar o velho, mas também descobrir as pistas que estão no passado para poder encontrá-lo a tempo.
