Para festejar o aniversário de uma escola, é organizada uma cerimónia em que é aberta uma cápsula do tempo que contém mensagens escritas por crianças 50 anos antes. Uma delas é um estranho mapa numérico. Quando o mapa é descodificado, descobrem que cada sequência corresponde à data e ao número de vítimas mortais de várias catástrofes e acidentes ao longo dos últimos anos. Com algumas dessas profecias ainda por acontecer, começa então uma corrida contra o tempo.
