Quatro amigos viajam por uma estrada americana. De repente, o carro deles é empurrado para fora da pista por um caminhão denominado Road Train. Sem saída, eles decidem pedir ajuda ao motorista e, misteriosamente a cabine do piloto está vazia. Resolvem então dirigir até a cidade mais próxima, mas lá eles nunca chegarão.

Just married and driving through the Southwest, Angel and Peter cross paths with Jack, a mysterious drifter with a dark past. The trip soon takes a detour into madness and murder, as Jack slowly but carefully drives the newlyweds apart, preying on their weakness and bringing out their inner demons. Jack's seduction of Angel on her wedding night results in an explosion of violence from which none of them will recover.
