Hajime Kanda

A trans woman works and lives in Tokyo with colleagues who understand her, but there remains an underlying lack of confidence and feeling of unfulfillment. She makes the decision to contact an old classmate from her high school days when returning home on a business trip, hoping that they will see her for the person she is now.

Five loosely connected storylines concerning the secrets and lies, the fears and tears, and the puerile potty jokes that punctuate the characters' daily (and in one eerie case, nightly) encounters.

Set in a spa town, Akira Takasu (Masatoshi Nagase) is a carver and a mailman. He keeps in touch with poet Penguin (Masataka Kubota). Penguin has a female fan with the name of Moonlit Night's Star (Sakurako Konishi). She sends letters to Penguin. One day, the female fan appears in front of Akira Takasu and Penguin. These three somehow get involved in a battle between the yakuza.

During some era, on an island that exists somewhere in Japan, there are people who exist there who feel confined. Idle days pass for men and women unable to connect, and women who can not grasp the importance of such connections.

Three days before a cultural festival, reliable heroine Hikari Sasaki suddenly quits the club. Left behind in the theater club are four sensitive girls, Saya Honjo, Aoi Fujisaki, Kurumi Nakahara and Mika Shinoda. The girls have relied on Hikari for such a long time, and are at a loss, with none of them interested in being the next heroine. Nobody has any desire to be a candidate, but without a leader for the theater club the manager Saya has the idea of having a secret ballot. But the result of the vote produces a shocking development.

In the past, Tukasa entered numerous fake marriages and divorces to steal money from loan sharks. He has many records of marriage and divorce on his family register. One day, Tukasa ,who is working for loan shark company “Last Finance,” receives a phone call from a loan company. The loan company tells Tukasa that his wife on his family register borrowed money from them and ran away. As her husband, he is now liable for his wife's debt. Tukasa finds himself in a difficult situation. At that time, Tukasa’s boss Tadaomy assigns a new client to Tukasa. Tukasa’s new client is Mitsuo. Mitsuo takes care of jos mother with Alzheimer’s. He works as a contract employee for an air conditioner installer and is experiencing financial difficulties.

When a friend from his yakuza past gets released from prison, a loan shark and his former-male-host sidekick help the ex-con get back on his feet.

Nakatsu was laid off at his company and now works part-time at a convenience store. One day, Nakatsu forms a vigilante group to protect his town with Toshida, who has a mysterious physical ability, Kanari, who is a female high school student with excellent information gathering abilities, and Kusaki, who wields hammers under his sleeves. As they punish evil doers, the group gains popular support and flourish.

Motoki Takashi has helmed the series since the third film. Kinugasa High School top dog Monji (Sano Kazuya) fails to find a successor and gets held back twice. Yuto (Kubota Masataka), who used to exchange blows with Monji, finds employment but gets fired due to his poor academic skills. Painfully aware of the importance of studying, Yuto transfers into the evening class at Kinugasa High School without knowing that Monji is there.
