A Lenda da Rainha Pagã é um drama com alguns elementos de fantasia baseado na lenda de Libuse, a rainha eslava do século 8 da região da Bohemia. Dotada do poder de ver o futuro, essa extraordinária mulher teoricamente viveu numa turbulenta época de mudanças culturais, sendo a fundadora da cidade de Praga, mais tarde capital da Tchecoslováquia.
Depois de presenciar a violenta morte de seus pais no final da Segunda Guerra, o jovem Hannibal Lecter vai para a casa de seu tio em Paris. Ao chegar lá, ele descobre que seu tio também já faleceu, porém sua viúva tia o recebe em sua casa. Seu interesse pela ciência o ajuda a entrar para a escola de medicina, onde ele vai aprender tudo que precisa para poder se vingar dos responsáveis pela morte de sua família.
To the mentally ill Kriss, the world is divided up into 'good and evil', just like in the old B&W melodrama, 'Pure Hearts', which Kriss and his fellow patient, Willy, spend their days repeatedly watching at the psychiatric ward. To Kriss this film is the bible. One day after a serious conflict with one of the hospital's other patients their viewing rights are retracted. Kriss is deeply frustrated by this, until he realises that Linda, the young girl in the film, actually exists in the shape of the film's star, the actress Ulla Vilstrup. Setting fire to the hospital, Kriss and Willy escape into the night, determined to find her, because life is what you make of it.

After an expose on NFL players causes a series of lawsuits, a reporter gets fired. A loyal editor nonetheless gives him a freelance story to work on. It seems that an athletic 19-year-old actor had been preparing to star in a low-budget gridiron movie when a mysterious assailant attacked him and destroyed his appearance. He was, of course, dismissed from the film. The reporter is to find out the true story of what happened. His investigation finds a history of beating his wife and a complete disinterest from the movie crew's producer.
