Haranath Chakraborty is an Indian Bengali film director. He made his directorial debut with "Mangaldeep" (1989). Many of his movies have enjoyed commercial success. He was Born on 1 January 1959 in West Bengal. He was assistant director of Anjan Choudhury Group. Chakraborty's film, Gyarakal (2004) won the Bengal Film Journalists' Association – Best Clean & Entertainment Film Award.

Indrajit is a UK based scholar. While working to preserve historical documents he find a parchment from which he learns about treasures hidden in an old palace in Simulgarh, a village of West Bengal. Sapui wants to melt those coins to make new jewellery. After being beaten up, Indrajit goes to forest near the village where he meets Chhayamoy, a benevolent ghost.
