Joshua Connor perdeu seus três filhos na batalha de Galípoli, em 1919. Após a morte da mãe deles, Joshua promete que irá enterrá-la ao lado dos filhos. Desta forma, ele viaja até a Turquia decidido a recuperar os corpos deles, para que possa enterrá-los em sua terra natal.
