An English widow goes to Italy, falls in love with a dentist's son and marries him, against her straitlaced family's wishes.

Italy, 1977. Professor Bruschi is a retired widower who lives according to a strict routine he set for himself. Rosario Trapanese is determined to show he is not the typical old-fashion Sicilian. Karen confesses Rosario she signed a contract for a second movie and she could refuse only by paying a fine. The couple doesn't have enough money so they need to find a solution. And what a solution!
