Born in Duisburg, Germany, Michael W. Driesch studied economics and finished as with the degree of a Diplom-Kaufmann and a doctoral degree in economics. He is a member of the Germany Directors Guild (BVR). Making movies since the late 1970s he is now managing director of the Driesch Holding SLU, Spain and entrepreneur. He is married and father of two children, a boy and a girl.
