The anonymous hero of the story, to which the spectator is introduced, attempts at freeing himself from his enslaved life. He finally has to realize the transience of the creature man and whithdraws from the constraints of worldly existence.

Dois guerreiros envolvidos em uma selvagem guerra futurística entre a Terra e o planeta Dracon, são abatidos e fazem aterrissagens forçadas em um planeta desolado e inóspito. A princípio, o humano e seu inimigo, um réptil alienígena, estão determinados a destruírem-se mutuamente. Mas após terem que enfrentar as forças da natureza e um ao outro, os dois pilotos perdidos gradualmente percebem que a única maneira de manterem-se vivos é superando o ódio mortal.
