Loris is a young man who begins a romance with Francisca, his piano teacher, a forty-year-old who lives dominated by her mother, who was a successful soprano in her youth. Loris goes to live at Francisca's house. They will have as neighbor a sexual obsessive, fan of carnivorous plants and spying on people with binoculars. When they are preparing a trip, Francisca's mother shows up at the house. Her initial indignation soon gives way to a great interest for the young man, which will provoke the terrible jealousy of Francisca.

Anselmo is a young anthropologist who is tormented by jealousy, and although his wife Camilla does not give reasons, keeps a close eye on her. By chance he meets an old friend, Lotario, who seems the ideal person to carry out his plans. What Anselmo does not know is that his friend is a real womanizer who ends seducing his wife.

Patricia (Mijanou Bardot) is a wealthy party girl who is bored with her jet-set lifestyle and friends. She gets in her car and drives off into the mountains in search of a new thrill. When two men wreck and burn her car, she joins them in their mountaineering life. She sleeps with one man, but jealousy ensues and she leaves for swinging London town with the other man. Eventually the men end up back in the mountains as the profoundly disturbed Patricia packs a loaded gun and goes after them both.
