Karen Jenkins

História

Karen Jenkins was born in Toronto Ontario, Canada. She was Orphaned at the age of 5, and then adopted. Her Adoptive Father was a Film Projectionist and Sound Engineer for Music. Her Adoptive Grandfather was also a Film Projectionist. The influence of being raised in this environment from a young age made for a very active imagination, and hence led Karen into a career in the Creative Arts. Whether it was performing on the streets of Toronto dancing on stages for large audiences, or playing a Kasmiri Bollywood Actress in the Himalayan Mountains of India; entertaining in every form was always something that came naturally. Karen’s acting training includes classes with The Second City in Toronto, ON and Company of Rogues in Calgary, AB. She has also studied dance including Hip Hop, Tap, Salsa and Bacchata. Her personal interests have led her to train in Shiatsu Therapy, Minor in Acupuncture, Eastern Medical Theory, Western Medical Theory, Meditation, and Muay Thai. She is also a Certified Yoga Instructor, and is adept in the Basic Foundations of Shamanism.

The Godfather of Gore, Herschell Gordon Lewis makes his long awaited return to the genre that he is given credit for inventing in “Herschell Gordon Lewis’ BloodMania”. “BloodMania” is a horror anthology consisting of four segments. Herschell has co-written one segment and will direct two. Each segment has its own unique style and feel, but all contain the signature gore that has come to be associated with Mr. Lewis’ work.
