"Lovers, Liars and Lunatics" is a dark, screwball comedy about a neurotic suburban family that gets held hostage in their home by two inept burglars. Only as the night progresses do we realize that the Machiavellian machinations of the family are actually drawing the burglars further and further into their nefarious familial schemes, until reality blurs, and we no longer know who we should be rooting for: the family, or the burglars.
'Chance' is a black comedy about how hard it is to find "the one". Mostly told from the point-of-view of a young, sexually aggressive woman, named Chance, whom according to her: "we're all out there looking for true love", which turns out to be a very elusive thing indeed, and Chance is no exception. She's desperately on the prowl for a man, but since she's more mouse than cat, she gets herself into scrape after scrape in her screwball pursuit of love. Surrounded by a bevy of adoring but completely wrong-for-her men (and one dead girl from Manchester, England), Chance has to pick her way through her messy life in order to figure out which guy is "it".
O dono (Robin Williams) de um drag nightclub é um homossexual assumido e vive com a estrela (Nathan Lane) da sua casa noturna. Mas quando seu filho (Dan Futterman), fruto de um mau passo dado no passado (20 anos atrás, para ser exato), diz que vai se casar com a filha (Calista Flockhart) de um senador (Gene Hackman) e que os pais da noiva decidem conhecer a família dele, as confusões para manter as aparências começam, pois eles pensam que o pai do noivo é Adido Cultural na Grécia, com o senador e sua mulher não sabendo que ele é gay, imaginando ainda que ele leva uma vida matrimonial convencional.
Peter e Katherine Witner formam um casal da classe alta, que entra em crise financeira quando ambos perdem seus empregos. Além disto, com seu casamento enfrentando problemas, acabam optando pelo divórcio. Porém, ao invés de se enfrentarem, eles abrem uma boutique em Melrose, Hollywood.
