Após ser demitido, Jimmy Logan procura seu irmão, Clyde, com a proposta que ele lhe ajude em um elaborado assalto. A ideia é roubar um cofre localizado bem abaixo do autódromo local, aproveitando que os sensores sísmicos foram desligados devido às obras no local realizadas justamente pelo antigo trabalho de Jimmy. Para tanto, eles precisam da ajuda de Joe Bang, especialista em explosivos, que está preso. Com isso, os irmãos Logan elaboram um plano para que Joe deixe a prisão sem ser notado, de forma que possa realizar o trabalho.
