Ch'a Hong-gi persuades Kim Hyong-uk, the former KCIA director to expose the corruption of President Park Chung-hee in a book. After Kim's death, Hong Yong-ja suspects the South Korean government of being involved. She eventually becomes a vice president of International Taekwondo Federation by the help of Ch'a Hong-gi.
